The Whole Hog Bar-B-Quing app is based on research conducted by Dr. Michael Stachiw & Dr. Alden Booren at Michigan State University. The study was supported in part by a research grant from the National Live Stock and Meat Board.

Using this app you will be able to accurately estimate the amount of meat obtained from a certain size hog carcass, the cooking time and amount of charcoal required. The input parameters are the carcass weight in lbs, the type of hog roaster to be used and if the skin has been left on the hog carcass.
